Compressed natural gas is an ideal alternative energy for vehicles, and its application technology has become increasingly mature after decades of development. Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), the main component of which is methane, is recognized as the cleanest energy source on earth. Colorless, odorless, non-toxic and non-corrosive, its volume is about 1/600 of the same volume of gaseous natural gas, and the weight of liquefied natural gas is only about 45% of the same volume of water. Its manufacturing process is to first purify the natural gas produced in the gas field, and then transport it by LNG ships after a series of ultra-low temperature liquefaction. After combustion, the air pollution is very small, and the heat is released, so liquefied natural gas is good.
Compressed natural gas (CNG) is gaseous, but the pressure is high, while liquefied natural gas (LNG) is liquid, and the compression ratio is larger. For medium and long-distance transportation, CNG is suitable for short-distance use.
Trucks generally use liquefied natural gas. CNG compressed natural gas, 1 volume is converted into 200 standard volume of natural gas, the process is simple, the modification cost is cheap (several thousand pieces can be done), the disadvantage is the lack of power and the lack of continuous driving ability. It is suitable for small taxis, and you may need to add gas 2 to 3 times a day.
1 volume of LNG liquefied natural gas is converted into 600 standard volumes of natural gas, the continuous driving capacity is greatly increased, and the truck also has enough space to store gas and equipment, and can continue to travel 600km or more. The disadvantage is that the process is more complicated. Generally, you can only buy new ones. Even if the modification costs 50,000 to 100,000, it may not be able to be improved. The modification technology is not too high.
