What Is An LNG Plant Station For?

Jul 30, 2022

Natural gas is purified, liquefied and stored in a natural gas liquefaction plant.

The liquefaction refrigeration process usually adopts the compression cycle refrigeration method with ethane, propane and mixed refrigerant as the circulating medium.

Natural gas transportation can be divided into long-distance pipeline transportation and LNG transportation. Long-distance pipeline transportation: The natural gas extracted from the gas field is transported to the urban transmission and distribution station through the first station of pressurization, sub-transportation station, pressure station, pigging station, etc., to supply gas to consumption areas.

LNG transportation: It mainly includes three parts: LNG liquefaction production, LNG liquefaction transportation and LNG receiving and storage.

Liquefaction production: The natural gas is liquefied in the LNG plant after pretreatment. The liquefaction process can be divided into cascade liquefaction process, mixed refrigerant liquefaction process and liquefaction process with expander. device) and peak regulation liquefaction device (small flow liquefaction device).

Liquefaction transportation: LNG liquefaction transportation is generally divided into two types: sea transportation and road transportation. LNG special ships are generally used for sea transportation, and LNG tankers are generally used for road transportation.

Receiving and storage: The LNG receiving station is the connection point between the LNG gas source and the user's pipeline network, and its main function is the receiving, regasification and transportation of LNG.
