The project, which started in 2022, has increased the company's annual sulfonation capacity from 100,000 tons to 150,000 tons, and added new products such as MES (methyl ester sulfonate), HABSA (hydroxyalkyl benzene sulfonic acid), and SLS/AOS/sulfonic acid sodium salt.

The new products are mainly used for the production of anionic surfactants, which are widely used in household detergents, personal care products, industrial and institutional cleaners, and other applications. According to a new analysis by NexantECA², a global consulting firm, the global market for anionic surfactants is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.5% from 2020 to 2030, driven by the increasing demand for biodegradable and sustainable products.
