1. What is the DC power consumption per ton of 32% liquid caustic soda?
Under standard operating conditions, the DC power consumption is about 2100–2250 kWh per ton of 100% NaOH equivalent. For 32wt% liquid caustic soda, it is approximately 670–720 kWh/ton. Actual consumption depends on brine purity, operating current density, membrane condition and cooling water temperature.
2. What is the total plant area required for a 50,000 t/y caustic soda plant?
For a 50kt/a ion-exchange membrane caustic soda line, the main process area is around 6,000–8,000 m², excluding raw material salt yard, finished product storage, utility buildings and wastewater treatment area. We provide site layout drawing after confirming capacity and local conditions.
3. What grade of industrial salt do we need as raw material? What impurity limits?
