Working Principle
The production line uses the ion exchange membrane electrolysis method.
During operation, purified brine enters the anode chamber of the electrolyzer. Direct current passes through the electrodes, causing chloride ions to release electrons and form chlorine gas.
At the cathode side, water molecules receive electrons and generate hydrogen gas and hydroxide ions.
Sodium ions (Na⁺) pass through the membrane and combine with hydroxide ions (OH⁻) to form sodium hydroxide solution.
The membrane prevents chlorine and hydroxide ions from mixing, reducing unwanted chemical reactions inside the electrolyzer.
